Vi Becomes Official Communications Partner of CSK for Three Seasons

Telecom operator Vi (Vodafone Idea) has announced a partnership with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), becoming the franchise’s official communications partner for the next three seasons. The agreement brings the telecom brand into one of the most followed teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL), connecting it with millions of cricket fans in India.

As part of the partnership, Vi’s logo will appear on the leading leg of the CSK team jersey. The branding will be visible during matches, promotional campaigns and other team-related activities during the IPL seasons covered under the agreement.

The collaboration will also include several fan engagement initiatives across digital platforms and match venues. Vi plans to roll out contests, exclusive fan experiences and promotional activities that allow subscribers to interact more closely with the team. These initiatives may include access to IPL match tickets, signed merchandise and opportunities to meet CSK players during the season.

Speaking about the partnership, Avneesh Khosla, Chief Marketing Officer at Vi, said cricket has a strong cultural presence in India and remains one of the most widely followed sports in the country. He added that the association with CSK gives the brand an opportunity to connect with fans while supporting one of the league’s most recognised franchises.

CSK management also welcomed the collaboration. KS Viswanathan, Managing Director of Chennai Super Kings, said the team is pleased to have Vi on board as its communications partner. He noted that the partnership supports the franchise’s efforts to stay connected with fans and expand its digital fan engagement.

The association will also support initiatives linked to grassroots cricket development through the Super Kings Academy, which trains young players between the ages of six and twenty-three. The programme focuses on building cricketing skills and expanding access to structured training for aspiring players.

CSK remains one of the most successful teams in the IPL, with multiple championship titles and a large national and international fan base. The partnership with Vi adds another major brand to the franchise’s IPL sponsorship portfolio as preparations continue for upcoming IPL seasons.
