UEFA Euro 2024: Groups, Structure, Locations, and Timetable

The opening match of the UEFA Euro 2024 is set on June 15, with hosts Germany playing their opponents from Group A, Scotland. The reigning winners are Italy, who defeated England in the last tournament final on penalties. There will be 51 matches throughout the 30-day competition, including 24 participant countries.

Format and Groups

Six groups of four teams each will compete against one another in a single round-robin style during the group round. Each group's top two teams advance to the Round of 16. In the meanwhile, the top four teams in third place will advance to the Round of 16. Following the Round of 16, there will be quarterfinals, semifinals, and the championship game.

Group A: Switzerland, Scotland, Germany, and Hungary

Group B: Albania, Italy, Croatia, and Spain

Group C: England, Serbia, Denmark, and Slovenia

Group D: Austria, France, Poland, and the Netherlands

Group E: Ukraine, Belgium, Slovakia, and Romania

Group F: Georgia, Portugal, Georgia, and the Czech Republic

Locations

Berlin, Dortmund, Munich, Cologne, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Leipzig, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, and Dusseldorf will host the UEFA Euro 2024 matches.
