Trailer of 'The Sumer Hikaru Died' Creates Sensation among Anime Fans
A recent anime trailer released on Netflix' youtube channel has made anime fans excited over the new release. Mokumkuren’s famous manga ‘The Summer Hikaru Died’ adapted into series and is set to release on July 5 on Netflix. The new trailer of this new series has made the fans hooked over the production quality and the adaptation of the story into a series.

The story of –The Summer Hikaru Died, narrates the life events of two best friends –Yoshiki and Hikaru, who are living in a Japanese village. The two inseparable buddy’s lives changes one day, as Hikaru goes missing and comes back after a week from the mountains. Yoshiki realizes that Hikaru is not the same person anymore, as something has taken over the mind, body, and feelings of Hikaru. Yoshiki tries to stay by Hikaru's side of Hikaru, but the ongoing suspicious events in the city make it hard for him to stick to his friend’s side over time.
The anime world is already going joyous over this new-themed drama. Japanese anime is known for its eerie horror elements. This drama will be blending the uncommon genre of coming-of-age with horror elements such as body horror, friendship, and terror.
The newly released trailer opens with Yoshiki asking Hikaru a strangely important question, “You’re not Hikaru, are you?” The trailer has already set the note for the whole series. The character Yoshiki will be voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi and Hikaru by Shuichiro Umeda.
Director of the series Ryohei Takeshita talked about the adaptation process, “Reading the original work was exciting, and I pondered how to express its frames in animation. Our team was very dedicated to capturing the delicate emotions of Yoshiki and Hikaru, as well as the manga’s beautiful and innovative structure. ” Fans are excited about the release as one of the X users posted, “July 5th?! Summer just got a whole lot more interesting. Can’t wait!”
