The Players who have made it into BCCI's Central Contract 2024-2025
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finally released the Central contract for the 2024-2025 season’s Indian senior men’s cricket team. The listing of the 34 players is done under the categories of Grade A+, Grade A, Grade B, and Grade C. The season range starts from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.
The trio—Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja—are listed under Grade A. The trio had announced their retirement in June, after the shortest format in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. These key players will be representing the national team only in tests and ODIs from now on. Along with these players, other players include KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Rishabh Pant. Pacers Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami, and the all-rounder Hardik Pandya.
The Grade B players will be getting paid a salary of INR 3 crores per annum. This list includes middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer, who was dropped from the list last year. Opening batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal and Suryakumar Yadav. The list also includes spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel.
The young players who shone through their marvelous performance in cricket matches played nationally and internationally have successfully made it into the BCCI’s Central Contract list. The listed Varun Chakravarthy, a prominent player, brought victory for the Indian team in the ICC Champion Trophy 2025. The player who made his international debut in the Indian team against the match with Zimbabwe last year, Abhishek Sharma, is also one such player who has made it into the list of the BCCI’s central contract. The list has other players, including Akash Deep, Dhruv Jurel, Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Sarfaraz Khan.
