The Greatest Music Albums Ever? Apple Music Chooses its Favorites
The Top 10 Albums of All Time on Apple Music have been announced, chosen by a team of experts in the music business. The list is determined by a number of factors, such as historical relevance, artistic value, and cultural influence.
The top book on the list is "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" by Lauryn Hill. The album received accolades for both its potent social critique and its inventive fusion of hip-hop, soul, and R&B. "This is my award, but it's a rich, deep narrative that involves so many people, so much sacrifice, so much time, and so much collective love," Hill said in an interview with Apple Music.
According to Apple, Lauryn Hill's 1998 first solo studio album—her one and only—was a seismic moment. It offers a startlingly honest and insightful glimpse into the spiritual lives of the biggest stars of the day. She was and still is a once-in-a-generation genius, according to Apple, whose inventiveness and inspiration have been heard for decades. Long discographies are exhausted by artists in the hopes of producing a single, coherent work that will be influential enough to alter civilization and establish its creator as a saint; Lauryn Hill achieved this in only one.
Michael Jackson's album Thriller is among the other noteworthy albums on the list. Apple claims that the event "did nothing less than redefine the scope and reach of music and define the modern pop blockbuster." It became one of the best-selling albums ever produced, with seven of its nine original tracks going on to become top 10 hits.
"Furious, defiant, anguished, vulnerable, experimental, muscular, triumphant, humorous, and brave — a vivid personal statement, released without warning in a time of public scrutiny and private suffering," is how Apple characterizes Beyonce's Lemonade album.
The songs "Abbey Road" by the Beatles, "Purple Rain" by Prince, "Blonde" by Frank Ocean, "Songs in the Key of Life" by Stevie Wonder, "Good Kid, M.A.A.d City" by Kendrick Lamar, "Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse, and "Nevermind" by Nirvana are also included
