The Angry Birds Movie 3 is officially on its way! Paramount Pictures just dropped the big news that the third chapter of the wildly popular animated series, inspired by the addictive mobile game, will hit theaters worldwide on January 29, 2027. It’s a date that’s sure to have fans chirping with excitement as the beloved bird crew gears up for another round of feathered chaos.

The gang’s all back, with Jason Sudeikis returning as the hot-headed Red, Josh Gad speeding in as Chuck, Rachel Bloom soaring as the brainy Silver, and Danny McBride ready to blow things up as Bomb. But there’s fresh talent joining the nest too, Emma Myers, Keke Palmer, and Tim Robinson are hopping aboard, promising to shake up Bird Island with their comedic chops. Fans are already buzzing about what these newbies will bring to the table.

John Rice is taking the director’s chair, with Heitor Pereira cooking up the soundtrack to keep things lively. This time, it’s a team effort from Rovio, SEGA, and Prime Focus Studios, with Paramount stepping in to distribute, taking over from Sony Pictures, who launched the first two films back in 2016 and 2019. While the plot’s still a bit of a mystery, whispers suggest we might see Red and the flock tackling family vibes and some empowering twists, all wrapped in that classic Angry Birds mix of laughs and heart.

Word of the movie first fluttered out in 2024 when Rovio and SEGA teased it was in the works, but now it’s locked and loaded for that late-January 2027 spot, a prime kickoff for the year that Paramount’s clearly banking on. With a stacked cast and a track record of box-office wins, this one’s shaping up to be a treat for die-hard fans and newbies alike.
