Telegram, the famous instant messaging application with over 950 million monthly active users, has announced a new version with numerous interesting features targeted at improving the user experience and offering greater assistance to content producers. There are several new features to explore, including Star Reactions and Subscriptions, as well as Super Channels.

As always, to enjoy the new features, upgrade the Telegram app to the most recent version available in your app store.

Star Reactions

One of the most notable improvements in this version is "Star Reactions," which allows users to express their gratitude for their favorite channels by sending Telegram Stars. These stars help channel owners directly, as they receive their full worth.

The stars can be exchanged for Toncoin cryptocurrency or used to fund advertisements on the platform. Additionally, channels that receive Star Reactions will display a leaderboard highlighting top contributors. However, users who wish to remain anonymous can opt out of appearing on the leaderboard.

Channel administrators can activate Star Reactions by accessing the settings: Channel Settings > Reactions > Enable Paid Reactions.

Star Subscriptions

Telegram has also introduced "Star Subscriptions," a feature that allows content creators to monetise their channels by offering exclusive content to users who subscribe via Telegram Stars.

These special invite links grant access to premium content, including early access to media, VIP livestreams, and more. This subscription model provides creators with a straightforward way to generate income from their content.

Channel owners can create these subscription links by navigating to Channel Settings > Channel Type > Manage Invite Links > Create a New Link and enabling the "Require Monthly Fee" option.

Paid Media For Bots

In another effort to support content creators, Telegram now allows the posting of paid photos and videos by bots, including those managing Telegram Business accounts.

This addition offers new possibilities for automated content sharing and business operations, allowing creators to develop sustainable services like image generation and video upscaling.

Creator-Friendly Monetization

Telegram is reinforcing its commitment to creators by minimizing the commission fees for those who earn rewards in Toncoin through Telegram Stars. Additionally, creators who choose to reinvest their earnings into Telegram ads will benefit from a 30 percent discount on advertising costs, giving them a valuable boost in expanding their audience.

Super Channels

The update also brings "Super Channels," a new feature that allows channel administrators to post under different identities, either as their profiles or other channels.

These exclusive invite URLs provide access to premium material such as early media access, VIP livestreams, and more. This subscription model gives authors an easy method to make money from their material. Channel owners may generate these subscription links by going to Channel Settings > Channel Type > Manage Invite Links > Create a New Link and selecting the "Require Monthly Fee" option.

Paid Media for Bots

In another move to help content producers, Telegram now permits bots to publish paid photographs and videos, including those that manage Telegram Business accounts.

This innovation expands the potential for automated content sharing and commercial operations, allowing producers to establish long-term services such as picture production and video upscaling.

Creator-Friendly MonetizationTelegram is reaffirming its commitment to artists by lowering commission rates for individuals who earn Toncoin through Telegram Stars. Additionally, producers who opt to reinvest their revenues in Telegram advertisements will receive a 30% reduction on advertising expenses, providing them a significant advantage in increasing their audience.

Super Channels

The update also includes "Super Channels," a new feature that allows channel managers to post under many identities, such as their own accounts or other channels.

This functionality makes regular channels more participatory and lively, akin to group chats. Administrators can easily switch between posting identities by touching their profile photo in the message area.

To enable Super Channels, go to Channel Settings > Administrators and turn on "Sign Messages" and "Show Authors' Profiles."

Enhanced Document Viewer for iOS

Finally, iOS users will benefit from an updated document reader that now allows them to access documents such as.pdf,.xls, and.docx files in independent tabs within the Telegram browser. This feature streamlines the process of moving between files and messages, making multitasking more effective.
