Shibasish Sarkar Re-elects as the President for the third term

Shibasish Sarkar has been concertedly reelected as the president of the Producers Guild of India (PGI) for the third consecutive term at its 69th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Mumbai on September 27,2024.

The AGM also witnessed the re-election of Manish Goswami and Madhu Bhojwani as Vice Presidents, while Ashim Samanta and Fazila Allana were re-elected as treasurers.

Additionally, Aashish Singh, Dipti Koak, and Ankur Garg were selected as Vice Presidents, fortifying the Leadership team.

During the meeting, Sarkar shared insights on the evolving landscape of the Media & Entertainment industry, focusing on the challenges and opportunities content producers face just to entertain the people. 

Members also reviewed the PGI’s key activities from the past year and shared their perspectives on issues the Guild prioritized in the coming year. 

The PGI is the leading organization for film, television, and digital content producers in India, representing those who create audiovisual works and making a substantial impact on the nation's economy and workforce.
