Saudi Orchestra to Deliver Spectacular Performance in Riyadh
First time in Saudi Arabia, the Marvels of Saudi Orchestra will perform in January in Riyadh, as per an announcement by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The country hosted the orchestra for three-day concerts between January 16-18, 2025, at King Fahd Cultural Center under Prince Badr bin Farhan patronization, appointed minister of culture and chairman of the Saudi music commission.
The Riyadh concert will be the sixth in a series of international performances by the Marvels of the Saudi orchestra for the Saudi National orchestra Choir. The National Orchestra and Choir have begun a long successful journey of international heritage and the rich musical legacy of Saudi Arabia sweeping stages amongst some of the most prestigious in the world.
Their journey premiered at the famous Theatre du Chatelet, Paris, moved to performances at the National Theater, Mexico, Metropolitan Opera House, New York, and Central Hall Westminster, London, before concluding the global tour in 2024 with a performance at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, Japan.
The Riyadh concert is part of the Saudi Music Commission's ongoing efforts to promote local music within Saudi Arabia. The Commission is dedicated to enriching the country's music scene, celebrating its local music, honoring its history and preserving the Kingdom's musical heritage.
The Marvels of Saudi Orchestra's performance in Riyadh is a landmark event that will leave a lasting impact on Saudi Arabia’s arts and culture scene, offering audiences a captivating musical journey through the Kingdom’s rich heritage and enchanting melodies.
