Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment (NGE), the film producer Sajid Nadiadwala's firm, and content giant Banijay Asia, the company behind shows like Bigg Boss and The Kapil Sharma Show, have joined up to co-produce films and shows. The two businesses plan to produce a wide variety of entertainment programming for television, movie theaters, and over-the-top (OTT) platforms. Their goal is to produce unique intellectual assets (IPs) that will be tailored for Indian audiences, including international forms. Both businesses declined to comment on the investments, but sources close to the relationship claimed that over Rs 100 crore had been put aside for content initiatives.

Famed for franchises such as Housefull, Baaghi, and Heropanti, Nadiadwala thinks the partnership will bring together Banijay's knowledge of TV and streaming media with NGE's theatrical business experience. "We felt it was time for us to collaborate in order to discover a new angle on narrative. We intend to provide material that transcends genres, screens, and boundaries," he continued. The CEO of Banijay Asia, Deepak Dhar, stated that while the companies haven't decided how many projects they'll take on, they do intend to create material that appeals to consumer preferences.

"Our focus will be on creating compelling content for multiple screens, and it’ll be a combination of bringing some of the biggest international adaptations to India combined with a robust slate of original IPs," he stated. Dhar claims that whether a project is released in theaters or over-the-top (OTT), it will depend on its premise. This is Banijay's second major cooperation of 2024; the first was to generate live event intellectual property and non-fiction cricket content with Ravi Shastri's Sporting Beyond.
