Ronaldo's Al-Nassr Struggles in the Kings Cup can't make it to Quarter Final
Al-Taawoun defeated Al-Nassr 1-0 at Al-Awwal Park in a closely fought Round of 16 match in the King Cup of Champions. Waleed AL-Ahmed used a defensive breakdown in the 71st minute to score the only goal for the game. Al-Nassr couldn’t make it to the back of the net, therefore managing only 5 shots on the target while controlling the majority of the possession 65% and collecting 15 strokes. Al-Taawoun’s disciplined defense strategy was strong and Al-Nassr players not able to break in it, they ended the game with three yellow cards to celebrate their victory over Al-Nassr, apart from that the host from the competition and advanced to the quarter final.

Cristiano Ronaldo missed a last minute penalty and Al-Nassr was eliminated from the King's Cup in a 1-0 loss to Al-Taawoun on Tuesday.
The five-time Champions league winner has not yet won a major trophy since signing for the club two years ago.
Playing at the round of 16 stage of Saudi Arabia's premier knockout competition, Al-Taawoun took the lead on Waleed Al-Ahmad’s header with 20 minutes remaining in the field. Al-Ahmad was then whistled for a foul in the area in the 95th minute of the game.
Ronaldo had converted all 18 of his previous penalties for Al-Nassr but this time this time shot over the bar to the shock of the home crowd of 14,519.
This defeat marks the first for Stefano Pioli since he took over as head coach from Luis Castro in September.
Ronaldo and Al-Nassr still have two opportunities to win silverware this season, but they are already six points behind league leaders Al-Hilal after eight matches in the Saudi Pro League. In the Asian Champions League, they have accumulated seven points from three group stage games.
