Resmed's 'Don't Snooze the Snore' Film Warns of Sleep-Apnea Risk
Resmed has launched a new awareness film, “Don’t Snooze the Snore”, to highlight that snoring can be a sign of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). The campaign aims to correct the common perception that snoring is only an irritation and encourages people to recognise it as a possible health warning.
The awareness film uses everyday scenes — a cinema hall, an office meeting and an airplane — where people snore loudly with a large “snooze” button on their forehead. Those around them simply press the button to silence the snoring, showing how casually the issue is usually dismissed.
The tone shifts when the narrative moves home, where a woman notices her partner gasping for breath between snores. This moment underscores that snoring can indicate breathing disruption during sleep.
The film ends with a clear message: “Don’t Snooze the Snore. Some snores can be a cry for help.” Viewers are urged to take ResMed’s Home Sleep Test, which offers an initial assessment for sleep apnea.

He noted that early detection can help prevent further health complications and that accessible screening options make it easier for people to seek help.

With this campaign, Resmed focuses on increasing understanding of sleep apnea and encouraging timely diagnosis. The film uses simple, relatable scenarios to show that snoring should not be ignored, especially when it disrupts breathing. Through this effort, the company aims to prompt families to take symptoms seriously and consider testing when needed.
