Real Madrid secured the 2024 Intercontinental Cup with a dominant 3-0 win over Mexican Liga MX side Pachuca, demonstrating their offensive strength through goals from Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., and Rodrygo Goes. This victory marked their second trophy of the season, following their UEFA Super Cup triumph.

Pachuca began the match with determination, pressing forward and generating early opportunities. However, despite multiple efforts, they were unable to go near Thibaut Courtois, who was untested in goal. Real Madrid, composed in their build-up and at 37th minute Kylian Mbappe scored the opening goal. The French forward calmly finished a precise pass from Jude Bellingham whose dynamic performance in midfield was outstanding throughout the whole match. In the second half, Pachuca came close to equalizing in the 52nd minute with Nelson Deossa’s impressive solo run into the Real Madrid box. His shot however missed the target, deflecting narrowly past the post, providing a brief moment of hope for the Mexican side. Yet, their momentum was quickly halted as Los Blancos took full advantage soon after.

In the second half, Pachuca came close to leveling the score in the 52nd minute when Nelson Deossa made a brilliant solo run into the Real Madrid box. His shot narrowly deflected past the post, giving the Mexican side a fleeting sense of hope. They soon lost their momentum, as Los Blancos quickly came back into the game.

Rodrygo scored a sensational long-range shot at the 53rd minute that duplicated Madrid's advantage. Taking the ball from the left penalty area, the Brazilian cut quickly to his right and curled a brilliant shot over Pachuca's Oscar Ustari, baffling almost everyone.

Penalizing Real Madrid to victory at the 84th minute was by Vinicius Jr., the reigning FIFA Best awardee for 2024. We've got a penalty because Lucas Vazquez was fouled in the box, and he simply took it without any confusion, sealing the result there.

Even though Pachuca gave it their all, they were simply outmatched by the sharp finishing and tactical sense of the Spanish giants. And this is how Real Madrid continues to amass even more glittering laurels into its already long list of accolades for posterity in world football-the trio of Mbappe, Vinicius, and Rodrygo once again proved decisive.
