The internet is buzzing with excitement after the release of the first look at Peddi, featuring Ram Charan, which racked up an incredible 36.5 million views in just one day. Released on April 6, 2025, during the festive occasion of Ram Navami, this teaser has broken records, becoming the most-watched glimpse in Telugu cinema history, outpacing hits like Devara and Toxic. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, this rural sports drama has fans and movie lovers going wild, hinting that it could be the next big thing.

The Peddi First Shot teaser gives us a glimpse of Ram Charan like we’ve never seen him before, rough around the edges with long hair, a bushy beard, and a nose ring. Coming onto the cricket field he delivers confident swings of the bat to hit hits that make stadium spectators jump to their feet. The teaser combines the exciting music of A.R. Rahman with a combination of down-to-earth realism and high-energy feels to present a heartwarming tale with exciting elements. Janhvi Kapoor takes the lead role in her second Telugu movie alongside leading actors Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyendu Sharma.

Fans have flooded social media with love, raving about Charan’s local Vizianagaram accent and his magnetic presence. The teaser’s massive views, mostly in Telugu prove his star power reaches far and wide, with versions in other languages, including a Hindi one voiced by Charan himself, adding to the hype.

Producer Venkata Satish Kilaru thanked fans for the amazing response, promising a “huge movie experience” when Peddi releases on March 27, 2026. Big names like filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma have called it a “game-changer,” predicting it’ll shake things up. The online excitement shows no signs of slowing down, and this teaser has raised the bar while reminding everyone why Charan shines in roles like this, similar to his Rangasthalam days. With its big vision and emotional punch, Peddi looks set to be a standout film in 2026.
