Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan Becomes the First Tamil Film of 2024 to Exceed Rs 20 Crore Across All Southern States

Vettaiyan has successfully finished a second weekend at the box office. However the kollywood superstar Ranjinikanth film has not crossed the Rs 150 cr net mark in India. The action film’s eleven day collection stands at Rs. 134.25 cr net, in India, reports Sacnilk.com.

While expectations around the film were at Rs 150 cr, it seems that the film is yet to reach the place on the domestic front. However, on the global front, the film has crossed the Rs. 350 cr milestone mark.

Trade analyst manobala Vijaybalan shared the Rajinikanth’s film’s global collection on X and wrote, “despite new release, Vettaiyan has been the first choice of preference for audience with HOUSEFULL show on 2nd Sunday. Super Rajinikanth's film grows from strength to strength by crossing rs 350 cr milestone mark.

Day 1 - Rs 77.90 cr

Day 2 - Rs 45.26 cr

Day 3 - Rs 47.87 cr

Day 4 - Rs 41.32 cr

Day 5 - Rs 27.80 cr

Day 6 - Rs 24.16 cr

Day 7 - Rs 20.58 cr

Day 8 - Rs 17.23 cr

Day 9 - Rs 16.04 cr

Day 10 - Rs 21.65 cr

Day 11 - Rs 26.47 cr

Total - Rs 366.28 cr."

According to analysts, "Vettaiyan" has become the first Kollywood film of 2024 to earn over Rs. 20 crore across all southern states, including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
