IPL matches are known for setting records. It would be an unforgettable achievement for any player to be able to create such a record. But one such record has caused a humiliating situation for Rajasthan Royals. The 32nd IPL 2025 match, which was held on the 16th of April in Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, turned out as a sour memory for Rajasthan Royals, despite their player Sandeep Sharma creating memories.

Sandeep Sharma, Rajasthan Royals pacer, created history in IPL by bowling 11 balls in one over. The bowler, in the last over of the match, delivered 11 balls, among which 4 were wide, continuing with no ball three times. This record for the longest over is also held by Lucknow Super Giants Shardul Thakur, who had created the same scenario while facing Kolkata Knight Riders.

On the field, the one who faced Sandeep was Tristan Stubbs. With Delhi Capitals batting in the first round, they scored 188 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. As the final over of the match was beginning, it was believed that the Delhi Capitals would be defeated. But Sandeep’s bowling brought back the confidence of winning for the duo.

Sandeep started with a wide ball and then followed with a dot ball. This was followed by three simultaneous wide balls before overstepping his crease and leading to a no ball. Stubbs utilized the next opportunity to hit a six and a four. With Rajasthan Royals batting in the next over, they needed 9 runs to score in the last over due to lacking performance in the power play. With Delhi Capitals finishing the match in four balls, Delhi Capitals won the match.
