Prabhas-Vanga's 'Spirit' Kicks off with Chiranjeevi Event

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film Spirit, starring Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, has officially begun production. The team launched the film with a traditional muhurat puja on November 23.

Chiranjeevi attended the ceremony as the chief guest, along with producer Bhushan Kumar, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and members of the cast and crew.

The makers shared images of the ceremony on social media, confirming the start of the project. Prabhas’s name was mentioned in the announcement, though he was not seen in the photographs released from the event. The crew described the launch as a key milestone for the film.

Triptii Dimri, who plays the female lead, was present at the puja. She joined the cast earlier this year after Deepika Padukone stepped away from the project due to scheduling and other commitments. Actors Prakash Raj and Vivek Oberoi are also part of the principal cast.

A short teaser released earlier hinted that Prabhas will portray an IPS officer, introducing his character with the line, “Right from childhood, I have one bad habit.” The film is expected to blend intense drama with action, continuing Vanga’s signature style seen in his previous works.

Spirit is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures. The project is planned as a large-scale release, targeting a 2026 opening in multiple languages across India.

The film marks Prabhas’s first collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, a pairing that has drawn strong attention from industry watchers and fans. With the shoot now underway, the team will begin its first schedule in the coming weeks, followed by extended production phases through 2025.
