Open AI to Introduce New Social Media Similar to Social Network X

The parent company of ChatGPT, OpenAI, has reported that it’s been working on its own social media platform. The product is still in its budding stage. But the company has stated that they already have an internal prototype of the platform, based on ChatGPT’s new image generation feature. This platform will be a social feed, having similar characteristics to Elon Musk’s X.

The purpose for the creation of this social network is to help the users in creating more engaging content with the help of AI. People are already using the Grok integrated X for the production of viral tweets. This has also given rise to the doubt of increased rivalry between Elon Musk and Sam Altman. With OpenAI’s new application, it can compete with Elon Musk’s X. But as there is no clarification from OpenAI as to whether the new platform will be a separate application or integrated into ChatGPT, this doubt can take a rest.

OpenAI's plan to launch a new social media application is not new. The company previously made it clear in the past, not keeping it as a secret. Sam Altman, the founder of OpenAI has given bites about creating a new social app for the past few months. A Few reports suggest that Meta is working on a standalone AI assistant app, similar to Grok or ChatGPT, which will have a social feed integrated into it. With the recent reports of development, OpenAI is also working on a similar platform.
