Nikhil Taneja's Journey: From Media to Mental Health Impact

Nikhil Taneja is an entrepreneur, author, storyteller, and mental health activist based in Mumbai who is having a lasting impact on India's youth media. As the co-founder and CEO of Yuvaa, he spearheads a mission-driven media and impact company that is committed to producing socially responsible content and championing meaningful discourse regarding mental health, gender sensitivity, and youth empowerment.

Nikhil Taneja has been awarded at the Impact Digital Influencer Awards 2024 in two categories, Best Community Building & Social Impact Influencer and Best Motivational or Inspirational Influencer.

Having more than a decade of experience in the Indian media and entertainment sector, Taneja has been instrumental in creating digital content, especially while he was at Y-Films, the youth division of Yash Raj Films, where he spearheaded development and production. He was with The 6 Pack Band's winning team in Cannes Grand Prix Glass Lion 2016. He has worked with Viacom18 Digital, MTV India, and Hindustan Times among his media gigs.

Taneja has been an important arm of developing digital content for more than a decade in the Indian media and entertainment industry, particularly at Y-Films during his tenure at Yash Raj Films, spearheading development and production. He is also a member of the team working behind The 6 Pack Band, which won the Cannes Grand Prix Glass Lion in 2016. His advent into media also includes Viacom18 Digital, MTV India and Hindustan Times.

Outside of media, Taneja is an educator, having taught at Jai Hind College for seven-plus years. He also serves on the Global Advisory Board of the Gates Foundation's Goalkeepers Initiative, which addresses UN Sustainable Development Goals, showing his commitment to youth issues at a global level.

As Festival Creative Director of India Film Project, he spoke to persons like Ayushmann Khurrana, Vicky Kaushal, and Bhuvan Bam. Highly regarded by the industry, he won the Best Community Building & Social Impact Influencer award at the Impact Digital Influencer Awards 2024 for his voice.
