Netflix to Launch Ind vs Pak Docuseries Ahead of Champions Trophy

Netflix is set to premiere its most awaited docuseries The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan, on February 7, 2025. The series shares all the untold stories during the first India-Pakistan match and the other incredibly big clashes. As per credible sources, the series emphasize the 2003 ICC World Cup match between Pakistan and India is also one of the most memorable clashes between the two nations.

This whole docuseries then comes amid a steady team-up in excitement just before the ICC Champions Trophy, head-to-head for India versus Pakistan on Feb 23rd, 2025,  in the UAE. Huge interest in this specific game-head is also expected to ruin the project itself.

"Two nations. One epic Rivalry. 1.6 billion prayers. Come witness the thrill of a legacy like no other in The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan, arriving on 7th February, only on Netflix," said Netflix while revealing the poster for the series. The poster includes Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag and their famous jerseys.

According to credentials, there will be interviews of many cricketing stars from both countries namely, Sourav Ganguly, Shoaib Akhtar, Sunil Gavaskar, Virender Sehwag, Inzamam Ul Haq, Waqar Younis, Javed Miandad, and Ravichandran Ashwin.

This series is also important as it highlights Netflix's growing presence in the live sports sector, signaling a shift in its content strategy. Recently, the platform secured the rights to stream two NFL games on Christmas Day and will also air weekly episodes of WWE's Monday Night Raw. This move is part of a larger effort to expand its live programming and attract new viewers.
