My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Premieres April 7 on Crunchyroll

People from all corners of the anime fan community show increasing enthusiasm for My Hero Academia: Vigilantes because it serves as a prequel to the widely successful My Hero Academia television series. The introductory episode titled "I'm Here" will launch on Crunchyroll outside Japan on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 11:00 PM JST. The new addition by Kohei Horikoshi to his superhero universe has world audiences eager to enter this exciting chapter.

Based on the manga by Hideyuki Furuhashi with art by Betten Court, Vigilantes takes place about six or seven years before the main series. It follows Koichi Haimawari, a regular college kid with a simple sliding Quirk who once dreamed of being a Pro Hero. Everything changes when he crosses paths with Knuckleduster, a rough-around-the-edges vigilante who saves him from trouble. That moment pulls Koichi into the gritty, unofficial side of heroism—where vigilantes step up to keep people safe without a license.

The episode will air first in Japan on channels like BS NTV and Tokyo MX, then hit Crunchyroll for the rest of us. The broadcast in India will begin at 7:30 PM IST whereas the United States viewers can watch it at 7:00 AM PDT and 10:00 AM EDT. Crunchyroll offers its show with both subbed and dubbed versions while additional platforms including Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ will distribute it after Crunchyroll releases it.Studio Bones, the team behind the original My Hero Academia, is bringing this 13-episode series to life with the same awesome animation and heart fans love. The opening song, "Kekka Alright" by Kocchi no Kento, and the ending, "Speed" by yutori, will kick things off with style as Koichi starts his journey.
