Season 8 of My Hero Academia will be broadcast on Crunchyroll in October 2025, marking the conclusion of the superhero anime series. AnimeJapan 2025 in Tokyo unveiled the Season 8 announcement along with its worldwide streaming (except Asia). Fans can expect this final milestone season to premiere in Fall 2025 with weekly episodes airing on the day of Japanese broadcast. The announcement about Season 8 introduced viewers to the release date. It also revealed the initial trailer featuring Deku and Shigaraki engaging in a dramatic duel. This duel hinted at the epic final road ahead.

My Hero Academia originally adapted Kohei Horikoshi's manga, which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump's pages from July 2014 until August 2024, when the narrative ended. The story focused on Quirks—special powers that exist within 80% of humanity and have fascinated its fanbase. Izuku Midoriya (Deku) leads the story as a Quirkless boy after inheriting powers from All Might while attending U.A. High to train for heroism. The final season of My Hero Academia will transform the manga’s concluding events into a series that culminates as Deku rallies his friends against the League of Villains to defend civilization.

Studio BONES, which has animated all anime episodes since the 2016 production return, returns to animate this final finale. Following her Season 7 direction in 2024, Naomi Nakayama reclaims the director's chair for this production, which reunites her with series composer Yosuke Kuroda, who has worked on Season 1 through the current season. The production is led by Chief Director Kenji Nagasaki, who works alongside Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima for character designs and Yuki Hayashi, who composes the music to create a smooth conclusion.

The AnimeJapan trailer displays high-speed action while displaying emotional progression as Deku advances to take over from All Might. Before the arrival of Season 8, fans can experience the My Hero Academia: Vigilantes spin-off which will create anticipation for the main series. Fans expect My Hero Academia Season 8 to arrive at Crunchyroll's global event, where it will present a magnificent farewell that unites trilogy logic with character sacrifices.
