Mumbai Indians Dominate Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2025 Showdown

Mumbai Indians (MI) were unstoppable on Thursday night, crushing Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by seven wickets in a one-sided IPL 2025 clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Jasprit Bumrah kept things tight, Deepak Chahar grabbed two wickets, and Hardik snuck in a crucial scalp.

MI’s chase was pure fireworks. Rohit Sharma led the charge with a dazzling 70 off 46 balls, hammering three fours in one Harshal Patel over and racing to his second straight fifty. His knock put him alongside Virat Kohli in the IPL’s run-scoring elite. Suryakumar Yadav, cool as ever, finished unbeaten on 40 off 19, mixing clever sweeps with booming shots. SRH’s bowlers, including Pat Cummins and a barely-used Mohammed Shami, had no answers. Jaydev Unadkat snagged an early wicket, but MI were in a different league.

The pitch was tough early but got easier as dew set in, which Hardik smartly used to his advantage by bowling first. SRH, with just two wins in eight games, are now on the ropes, while MI’s red-hot form, powered by Boult’s Player of the Match spell, has them looking like serious contenders.
