Mohanlal-starring L2: Empuraan created a wildfire in the Indian film market after becoming the first Indian release to reach the highest number of pre-showtime sales through BookMyShow in a single hour. On March 21st 2025 when advance ticket sales opened for Lucifer sequel L2: Empuraan, 96,140 tickets were purchased during the first hour.
