Back after an eight-year break, the Champions Trophy comes as a 'World Cup Lite', a competitive tournament featuring the top teams, sandwiched between two 50-over World Cups. Supported by major sponsors, the tournament is likely to grab cricket enthusiasts and brand attention.
India aims to dominate the ODI format after missing the ICC World Test Championship final. Following a disappointing World Cup exit, England seeks to prove their continued white-ball supremacy. South Africa, once familiar with semi-final heartbreak, now faces the challenge of final defeats.
New Zealand seeks to prove they’re not in decline, while Afghanistan aims to strengthen their status as a top white-ball team. Bangladesh hopes to reach a major event semi-final once again, and Pakistan is determined to win on home soil, hosting a major tournament after years.
The ninth edition of the Champions Trophy kicks off today, captivating audiences across India with brand activations and partnerships. The tournament wraps up on 9 March, with all matches available on JioStar Network and streamed live on JioHotstar.
