By Media Infotainment Team | Friday, 03 January 2025

Netflix is ringing in 2025 with a lineup that has something for everyone, thereby making your January binging plans effortless. Whether you're in the mood to get a laugh from Philomena Cunk's weird questions in Cunk on Life or explore the wild frontier with American Primeval, New Year screams new content.

Old-time nostalgia will take you back to the classics such as Inception, Spider-Man, or Schindler's List, while the new releases like Back in Action, starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz, will turn the table. Other highlights like Dubai Bling: Season 3, Singles Inferno Season 4, and the comeback of WWE Raw make for very interesting and diverse additions this month. Indeed, everything is in store for all.

Netflix releases for January 2025

1. Cunk on Life: Mockumentary with Diane Morgan.

Date of release: January 2

It's a hilarious mockumentary that stalks a trip by a deadpan documentarian Philomena Cunk, meandering try-hard through all mysteries of life, the universe, and everything. She talks with experts from everywhere about everything from the Big Bang to what constitutes art, she makes her own decidedly misinformed observations by consistently misunderstanding information.

2. Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl

Date of release: January 3

This is the second full-length adventure of Wallace & Gromit, after "Curse of the Were-Rabbit," for which Nick Park won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. The official synopsis goes, “When it emerges that a vengeful figure from the past might be masterminding things, it falls to Gromit to battle sinister forces and save his master… or Wallace may never be able to invent again!”

3. WWE Raw (2025): Weekly live wrestling program begins

Date of release: January 6

Netflix is the home for WWE flagship show Raw in the United States, Canada, U.K. and Latin America, with plans to expand to more regions shortly. This partnership also brings Netflix hosting all WWE content outside of U.S. territory, such as the weekly shows like SmackDown, NXT, and blockbuster events also covered such as WrestleMania and SummerSlam. However, one might mention that it also includes WWE documentaries and originals.

4. American Primeval: A Western drama about survival in the brutal American frontier

Date of release: January 9

The year 1857 admits a stark and gritty Western drama. With survival becoming a struggle, violence and chaos permeate society. The tussle for power among various cultures, religions, and communities in this lawless environment serves as the major thematic concourse of the story.

5. Back in Action: Spy comedy featuring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz

Date of release: January 17

According to the Netflix synopsis, “Fifteen years after vanishing from the CIA to start a family, elite spies Matt and Emily jump back into the world of espionage when their cover is blown.”

6. The Night Agent: Season 2

Date of release: January 23

Season 2 of The Night Agent seems to draw an end to the storyline of Peter Sutherland, who won't be answering any calls this time round but will actually be calling one as it is a huge step forward in his career as a Night agent since he succeeded in rescuing the president in all explosive happenings of season 1. As he discovers what seems to be a national conspiracy, Peter will have to turn toward allies like Rose and night Action veterans Alice and Catherine to survive.
