Indian Stars Shine at Met Gala 2025

Fashion's greatest night, the Met Gala, is finally here. Just like every year, many celebrities from Hollywood and models have walked on the blue carpet of the big night. But this Met Gala is quite special for Indians as some of the well-known star actors from Shah Rukh Khan to Indian pop star Diljit Dosanjh have adorned the blue carpet of Met Gala. The theme for this year's Gala was ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black’ which was inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book ‘Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.

King Khan made his official entry to the gala event representing the respected designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who accompanied Khan on the carpet. Shah Rukh’s sublime black suit was bejeweled with gold accessories, a brooch and long pendant bearing the letter K. The star made the entry with a walking cane. Mr.Khan is the only Indian male actor to attend the Met.

Kiara Advani also made her debut at the Met Gala this year wearing Gaurav Gupta. The accomplished star wore a black gown with gold embellishments and a white trail behind her. The heart-shaped mini golden plate on her belly highlighted her baby.

Diljit Dosanjh wore a custom made fit, which highlighted his cultural roots in Punjab. The pop singer’s Royal Punjabi outfit was designed by Prabal Gurung. Priyanka Chopra Jonas nailed her look again this year, with her polka dot suit dress, designed by Olivier Rousteing of Balmain. Priyanka wore Bulgeri's high jewelry to bring a contrast to her dress.Met Gala was started in the year 1948, by American Fashion publicist Eleanor Lambert, which is a fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.  With Indian Celebrities participating in this year's Met Gala, the event has got more flair among Indians.
