Indian Men's Team Wins Kho Kho World Cup Title Against Nepal

The Indian men's team defeated Nepal 54-36 in the final to clinch the title at the inaugural Kho Kho World Cup in Delhi on Sunday.

The Indian men's team claimed the title after the women's team triumphed over Nepal in the final.

The Men in Blue dominated the final against Nepal, with captain Pratik Waikar and standout Ramji Kashyap leading the charge.

Attacking first, Ramji Kashyap's brilliant sky dive dismissed Nepal's Suraj Pujara. Suyash Gargate followed up by touching Bharat Sahu, giving India a strong start with 10 points in just four minutes.

Sky dives were the highlight for the Men in Blue, ensuring a strong start in Turn 1 and halting their opponents' Dream Run. By the end of the turn, India led 26-0.

In Turn 2, Nepal couldn't match India's intensity but managed to stop the home side from achieving a Dream Run.

Aditya Ganpule and captain Pratik Waikar led the team through this turn. Despite regular touches from Janak Chand and Suraj Pujara, India maintained a 26-18 lead heading into the second half.

India found their rhythm in Turn 3, showing unwavering confidence. Captain Pratik Waikar impressed with multiple sky dives, while tournament standout Ramji Kashyap provided strong support.

Aditya Ganpule was also in top form, and the home team's collective effort pushed the score to 54-18 as they entered the final turn of the match and the tournament.

Nepal fought hard in Turn 4, trying to make a comeback, but India’s defenders, led by Pratik Waikar and Sachin Bhargo, proved too strong. Mehul and Suman Barman were equally impressive.

India displayed dominance throughout the tournament, starting with convincing wins over Brazil, Peru, and Bhutan in the group stages. Their momentum carried into the knockout rounds, where they outplayed Bangladesh in the quarterfinals and defeated a strong South African team in the semifinals.
