Hindustan Media Ventures' Q1 Results Show Profit Plunging More Than 91% to Rs 0.52 crore

Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd (HMVL) declared a notable 91.82% drop in its quarterly net income to Rs 0.52 crore for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2024-2025. This contrasts sharply with the Rs 6.36 crore profit reported in the April-June period of the previous year, as stated in HMVL’s regulatory filing.

Its operational revenue reduced by 3.78% to Rs 162.18 crore in the April-June quarter from Rs 168.56 crore in the same period last year.Meanwhile, the company’s total expenses remained unchanged at Rs 188.55 crore from the June quarter.

HMVL initiated Rs 154.35 crore from printing and publishing newspapers and periodicals, and Rs 9.03 crore from digital sources.

The company’s total income stood at Rs 189.09 crore, reflecting a decrease of 5.44%

Shares of Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd were trading at Rs 100.50, showing a rejection of 1.51% from the previous close on the BSE.
