Google Launches Veo 3 AI Video Tool in India via Gemini App

By Media Infotainment Team | Friday, 04 July 2025

Google has launched its streamlined AI video creation models, Veo 3, in India along with other countries as an international expansion enabling users to access it using the Gemini app. Announced at the Google I/O 2025, Veo 3 transforms the user by allowing them to make high-definition 8-second video with synchronized sound effects, background music, and synthesized speech, driven off of a simple text or image prompt.

The launch is a big step towards the introduction of advanced AI video production to Indian users, but they can only access it on Google AI Pro subscriptions. Veo 3 could be used on Android, iOS, and web platforms, and it is part of the Gemini app, where the user can create cinematic clips with realistic physics and lip-syncing effect.

Available at a subscription of around 1999 prices a month, a one-month free trial is offered to new users to have a feel of Veo 3 and other premium services, such as 2TB of cloud storage, NotebookLM Plus, and Gemini integration with Google apps across Workspace. With a Pro subscription, it is possible to create three Veo 3 Fast videos per day; otherwise, one uses the Veo 2 less capable model.

You can recreate the past or make a surreal art video, as Google emphasized the versatility of Veo 3, and the only limit is your imagination. To counter the misinformation, the tool will insert SynthID watermarks within everything generated by it, to bring transparency around AI-generated videos.

David Sharon, the Multimodal Generation Lead at the Gemini Apps, stressed the creativity of the platform, pointing out the fact that this platform is as much attractive to the non-professionals as to the professionals. Though the global rollout of Veo 3 has expanded to 159 countries, including India, the subscription-based purchase has raised the controversial issue of affordability. The move by Google also puts it in direct competition with similar offerings such as Sora, introduced by OpenAI, where native audio integration is one of the major advantages.
