YouTube Music has officially launched the Sound Search function, which allows users to locate songs by merely humming them. The capability was previously offered to a select people in May of this year before being turned back for unclear reasons. According to 9to5Google, Google is now officially launching the functionality for both Android and iOS users.

How to Use YouTube Music's Sound Search Tool

The 'sound search' feature in YouTube Music allows users to search the "catalog of over 100 million official songs by sound."To get started, hit the magnifying glass symbol in the top-right area of YouTube Music and then the waveform button next to the mic button. This will open a new screen allowing you to sing, hum, or play a song.

According to the source, Sound search will begin to appear on YouTube Music for iOS and Android on July 15. The song's name, artist, album cover, year of release, download status, and play button will all be displayed on the results page.

"AI-generated conversational radio," another tool that Google is experimenting for  YouTube Music, is available to the US Premium customers. By "describing exactly what they want to hear," users will be able to construct a bespoke radio using the future functionality.
