Godrej Expands Har Ghar Surakshit with Digital Safety Push

Godrej Locks & Architectural Solutions (LAS) has launched a new phase of its Har Ghar Surakshit programme, adding a digital safety layer to its long-running home-security initiative.

The refreshed campaign highlights how everyday online behaviour can affect the safety of Indian households, extending the programme’s nine-year focus on home security.

At the centre of the rollout is the Accidental Invitation tool, designed to help users understand how social-media posts and routine online activity may unintentionally expose personal information.

The tool gives each user an “Accidental Invitation Score” and offers practical steps to reduce avoidable risks. The feature aims to address the rising number of incidents where oversharing has contributed to security lapses at home.

Alongside the digital-safety initiative, Godrej has also introduced its Neo Digital Locks range. The new series brings WiFi and Bluetooth-enabled locking systems to a wider audience, offering multiple access modes, emergency power support, and in-built alerts. With this launch, the company aims to strengthen its position in India’s growing smart-home market while keeping the products accessible for first-time buyers.

According to Shyam Motwani, Business Head, LAS, the Har Ghar Surakshit programme has completed more than 1.7 lakh home-safety check-ups since its start, including over 21,000 in the current financial year. He added that digital locks are expected to play a larger role in the company’s growth, driven by rising adoption of connected home devices.
