Games24x7 Reveals Final List for Startup Accelerator Programme
Games24x7, the ideal unicorn for gaming, has announced 17 startups in its startup accelerator program called TechXpedite. They belong to areas such as artificial intelligence, gaming, or impact-driven inclusive technology.
In totality, this program had an earlier application date of October 2024, thus, more than 330 companies lined up for it.
The selected companies will be mentored over the course of eight weeks by industry leaders, venture capitalists, and domain experts on topics such as business continuity strategies, market penetration approaches, financial frameworks, technological advancements, among others.
As a part of the program, Games24x7 has agreed to disburse USD 0.5 million in credits from more than 30 technology partners to each of the companies.
Trivikraman Thampy, co-founder and co-CEO, Games24x7, stated, “Our goal with TechXpedite is to provide end-to-end mentoring to entrepreneurs to help them solve problems and challenges that they otherwise struggle with. Obviously, also provide them with a platform where they can later raise capital.”
The grand finale event for the program will see startups pitching their products and services to a panel of investors and industry leaders in March 2025.
Thamphy added that the corporation would not impose any charge on selected companies under the program, such as a stake or sweat equity.
Further, “We're not taking anything for mentorship. We are not charging companies anything in cash or in sweat for the programme. If we do invest capital from our venture fund, only then will we take equity,” he described.
The company had established Games24x7 Ventures in November 2022 with an overall corpus of Rs 400 crore. The fund is established with a five-year timeline.
“Right now, we have invested a very small portion, less than five per cent, of the total fund value. But there’s a lot of opportunities that we are looking at very actively,” he noted.
Established in 2006, Games24x7 is the founding company in online gaming. It soars high on investments from other conjoined partners like Tiger Global, The Raine Group, and Malabar Investment Advisors.
The enterprise is into the online rummy business called RummyCircle and also deals with a fantasy sports venue which is My11Circle.
