From Tokyo to Nice: DoubleTree by Hilton Reaches 700th Property and 60th Country and Territory Milestones

 DoubleTree by Hilton, Hilton’s fast-growing, upscale hotel brand known  for its warm hospitality, is celebrating two monumental milestones: the opening of its 700th hotel and its  expansion into 60 countries and territories. Over the past year, the brand welcomed more than 40 new  properties to its portfolio, marking major firsts – Hilton's debut in the city of Nice, the country of Laos and  the Azores Islands region, as well as DoubleTree by Hilton's debut in Malta. These recent additions bring  DoubleTree’s global footprint to 60 countries and territories, representing more than a tenfold increase  in global presence since 2008 when the brand first expanded beyond the Americas into international  markets.

DoubleTree by Hilton’s momentum will continue with a robust pipeline of more than 240 hotels in  development and nine upcoming first-in-country and territory debuts in diverse markets. In Europe,  Middle East and Africa, where DoubleTree has more than 150 operating hotels currently, the brand is  expected to open its second resort property in Egypt with the highly anticipated DoubleTree by Hilton  Mangroovy El Gouna Resort, offering a private beachside escape. Additionally, DoubleTree by Hilton  Derry-Londonderry will bolster Hilton’s presence in Northern Ireland, and in North Africa, DoubleTree by  Hilton Casablanca City Centre will debut in Casablanca.  

With 115 properties across Asia Pacific, expansion will continue in China with new properties set to open  in rapidly growing urban hubs such as Zhengzhou and Yanji.

DoubleTree by Hilton also drives Hilton’s momentum in creating opportunities for hotel owners to join  Hilton’s system by converting existing properties into the DoubleTree portfolio. In the first quarter of  2025, conversions accounted for approximately 40% of Hilton’s nearly 200 new openings, driven largely  by Over the past year, the following key DoubleTree by Hilton openings have accelerated the brand’s  growth to 700 properties across 60 countries and territories: 

DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane (Vientiane, Laos)  

As Hilton’s inaugural property in Laos, DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane brings guests closer to the country’s  rich heritage through both design and cuisine. At ORIGIN restaurant, the flavors of Laos meet the warmth  of its culture, offering guests an immersive culinary journey with dishes like garlic-baked Lao Escargot and  'Luang Prabang' grilled sausage. After dinner, guests can unwind with spectacular sunsets and captivating  city views at the exclusive rooftop pool bar.

DoubleTree by Hilton Tokyo Ariake (Tokyo)  

DoubleTree by Hilton Tokyo Ariake brings sleek, modern design to the heart of Tokyo’s waterfront district.  As the first DoubleTree by Hilton in Tokyo, the hotel provides convenient access to Tokyo Disney Resort®,  Odaiba, a popular shopping and entertainment district, and the Tokyo Big Sight, the city’s largest  convention hall. Guests can enjoy contemporary dining at the hotel’s bar, lounge and all-day restaurant,  which showcases seasonal domestic ingredients, as well as a 24-hour fitness center. The hotel showcases  exquisite art inspired by Ariake’s unique topography, featuring a triangular pyramid motif reminiscent of  Tokyo Big Sight, adorned with intricate hemp leaf patterns. Additionally, art pieces crafted from upcycled  kimonos, which would otherwise be discarded, embody the vision of tradition weaving into the future. DoubleTree by Hilton Guang’an (Guang’an, China)  

Located in Guang’an’s Economic and Technological Development Zone, DoubleTree by Hilton Guang’an brings warm hospitality to one of Southwest China’s rapidly growing hubs. Ideally situated in the heart of  the district, the hotel is just steps from the Qu River and within walking distance of the scenic riverside.  Less than an hour from the Huaying Mountain Scenic Spot, renowned for its striking stone forest and  vibrant autumn foliage, the hotel offers easy access to both business centers and local cultural attractions.  It is also well connected, being approximately 12 kilometers from Guang’an South Railway Station and 23  kilometers from Guang’an Railway Station. DoubleTree by Hilton Nice Centre Iconic introduced Hilton to the charming city of Nice. Located near the  Promenade des Anglais and Old Town, the property’s design draws inspiration from the azurite crystals of  the French Riviera. The hotel’s rooftop terrace with panoramic city views makes it the perfect place to  enjoy a cocktail. Guests can savor bold Mediterranean flavors and the freshest local catch at Pesca, the  on-property restaurant.
