Fox News Digital Outperforms CNN and the New York Times in Key Measures During July
Americans continued to rely on Fox News Digital for information and insight amid July's exceptional news cycle.
July saw a stunning news cycle, with former President Trump surviving an assassination attempt, the Republican National Convention, President Biden announcing he would not run for re-election, and Vice President Kamala Harris gaining enough support to emerge as the Democratic presidential nominee.
Along the way, Fox News Digital ranked first in multiplatform minutes with 3.9 billion, while CNN came in second with 2.3 billion. Fox News Digital experienced its best month in the key statistic since January 2021.
FoxNews.com led all news brands with 2.6 average views per visit, attracting 119 million total multiplatform unique visitors. It was Fox News Digital's greatest month in terms of multiplatform unique visits since November 2020, including social media users.
Fox News' mobile app received 6.5 million unique visits, a 9% increase over the previous year. CNN's mobile app received 5.8 million unique visitors, representing a 4% decrease from the previous year.
Fox News Digital was also the most engaged brand on social media among news companies in July, with 42 million total social interactions, a 39% increase year on year, according to Emplifi. Fox News Digital generated 13.4 million Facebook engagements, 25.2 million Instagram interactions, and 3.3 million X interactions.
According to Shareablee, Fox News is the most viewed news brand on YouTube, with 341.2 million video views. FOXBusiness.com also generated 266 million multiplatform minutes, surpassing CNN Business and Blomberg.com, and 176 million multiplatform views.
