Slovenia also progressed to the Euro 2024 knockout rounds, while England emerged victorious in Group C following a dull 0-0 draw in their last game on Tuesday. Even though they had another lackluster performance, England had already advanced to the round of 16 and now sit atop the group with five points after the draw.

Despite having the same goal differential, number of goals scored, and disciplinary record, Slovenia and Denmark ended tied on three points. However, due to Denmark's UEFA rating, they seemed to have advanced in second place, going through alongside Slovenia, subject to confirmation.

In a dull match with few genuine chances, England had the better of the play. Harry Kane and Phil Foden forced goalie Jan Oblak into easy saves, while Bukayo Saka had a goal disallowed for offside in the first half. Although they had more control, England had few attempts on goal as Slovenia defended valiantly and attempted to block every assault from their irate opponents.

Denmark and Slovenia await

The knockout round of Euro2024 following a 0-0 draw in Munich on Tuesday against Serbia, who finished last in Group C. The Danes enjoyed the most possession and opportunities, with Christian Eriksen leading the line from midfield, but were unable to convert them into a goal in their third draw of the tournament.

They will wait for UEFA confirmation on whether they finished second or third in the group, which will determine who they face in the last 16, based on disciplinary points or rankings vs Slovenia. Serbia defended well for extended stretches, but they were unable to create opportunities for veteran striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, who pleaded for a penalty multiple times but was denied. They finished fourth in their group, earning two points from two draws.

Both teams had goals disallowed: Denmark for a corner that went out of play, and Serbia for offside. England will now wait to see who their next opponents will be in the Round of 16. According to the UEFA website, England might face one of the third-place teams in Groups D, E, or F.
