DuckDuckGo Now Allows you to Use ChatGPT, Claude, and Meta AI Anonymously for Free

DuckDuckGo, a search engine that prioritizes privacy, will now enable its customers to utilize well-known AI chatbots anonymously, like ChatGPT (based on GPT-3.5) from OpenAI, Claude 3 Haiku from Anthropic, Mixtra 8x7B, and Meta Llama 3 for free. The new function aims to alleviate users' privacy worries regarding the usage of popular chatbots, while also assisting individuals in harnessing the potential of generative AI. 

AI Chat is a new function that may be switched off when needed and is available for free with a daily restriction. According to DuckDuckGo, there are plans to provide a premium tier with more AI models and a greater daily use cap.

The business stated, "We believe people should be able to use the Internet and other digital tools without feeling like they need to sacrifice their privacy in the process," as justification for the addition of the new AI capability to DuckDuckGo.Thus, we create solutions that meet people where they are and give a layer of privacy to the routine online activities they engage in. Our strategy has always been the same: we used it for search, browsing, email, and now generative AI through AI Chat.

How can I use DuckDuckGo's AI chatbot? 

The new AI conversation function may be used anonymously by visiting duck.ai or duckduckgo.com/chat.Users may select their preferred generative AI model and begin utilizing it just like any other chatbot when they reach on the AIsearch website. 

The surprise is that these conversations are totally anonymous and cannot be linked to a specific person. Instead, it would appear from tracking that DuckDuckGo is the source of the chat requests rather than the user. In addition, users may erase the previous discussion by tapping the fire button, much like in the classic DuckDuckGo search interface. 

According to DuckDuckGo, it doesn't keep or store any chats and has partnered with AI businesses to get any inputted chats removed within the next 30 days. Additionally, these organizations will not use the AI talks to train or enhance their AI models.
