Dori Media Group Launches Sales Office in India, Led by Devdatta Potnis

Dori Media Group (DMG), the studio known for Losing Alice, Lalola, The New Black, In Treatment, and Power Couple, has launched its first sales office in India. DMG’s Mumbai office will be spearheaded by Indian media executive Devdatta Potnis, joining The company’s existing locations in Israel, Spain, Switzerland, and Argentina. 

Potnis Brings nearly 20 years of experience in the Indian media content industry, most recently as CEO of Animeta, a generative AI tech start-up based in India. 

Before Animeta, he was the Chief growth officer at Cosmos Maya, an animation studio with operations in India and Singapore, where he notably contributed to the sales of over 25 TV series. Earlier in his career, Potnis was the chief manager of marketing and communications at Reliance Media Works. 

Among the series on Dmg’s slate is the reboot of the Spanish-language series Lalola, which premiered in February on TelevisaUnivision’s streaming service ViX. DMG also holds the global format rights for the series outside of Latin America and the US.

Produced by Dori Media International, Lalola is a contemporary remake of the popular romantic comedy that originally aired from 2008 to 2009 and was later remade in India by Sony Entertainment Television.
