Dentsu India Appoints Sujata Dwibedy as CEO of dentsu X
Dentsu India made two important leadership announcements: Sujata Dwibedy was elevated to the role of CEO for dentsu X and Jose Leon was appointed to lead the retail media business as CEO.
These appointments will further enable the network to stay abreast of the latest developments, think out of the box in terms of opportunities, further strengthen relationships with the clients, and also bolster itself as a global leader. It dovetails with the aspiration to Innovate to Impact and the #OneDentsu philosophy. Both Dwibedy and Leon will continue to report to Anita Kotwani, CEO Media, South Asia, dentsu.
Sujata Dwibedy has taken on the role of Chief Executive Officer at dentsu X, where she will develop the agency's next chapter utilizing her more than twenty-six years of expertise in strategy, planning, research, buying, and innovation. Her brief entails leading the development of integrated excellence across media, technology, and creative services, as well as enabling transformative partnerships and delivering extraordinary outcomes for clients and consumers.
CEO of retail media business, Jose Leon will spearhead the collaboration with retailers as he utilizes his vast knowledge on both the selling and buying sides of retail media in driving additional income. His recruitment is yet another increase in the capability of dentsu India to develop its retail media proposition into what would be the most comprehensive solution for those looking for end-to-end consultation, implementation, and activation at scale in the market. Leon, leading towards a brighter future for dentsu's retail expertise, will bring it even closer to the forefront in innovation and meaningfully impacting clients.

Leon brings a rich and diverse set of experience in deep technology, commerce and digital consulting acquired by holding leadership roles in global digital platform companies like Adobe and Publicis. Prior to that, Leon was the chief executive officer of dentsu X, whereby he passed the growth baton on to Dwibedy.
