Delhi Capitals (DC) pulled off a thrilling six-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). KL Rahul stole the show with a brilliant unbeaten 93 off 53 balls, packed with seven fours and six sixes, guiding DC to their fourth straight victory.

The game kicked off with DC captain Axar Patel winning the toss and choosing to bowl first. It proved a smart move as DC’s bowlers held RCB to 163/7. RCB started strong, with Phil Salt smashing 37 off 17 and Virat Kohli adding 22, racing to 61 in just four overs. But a messy run-out sent Salt back, and things unraveled. Devdutt Padikkal scored just 1, and Kohli soon followed, leaving RCB in trouble. Tim David’s unbeaten 37 off 20 gave them a fighting total, but DC’s spinners, Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam, grabbed two wickets each to keep things tight.

Chasing 164, DC stumbled early, losing three wickets in the powerplay, including Jake Fraser-McGurk (7) and Abishek Porel. Rahul, however, stayed calm, even after being dropped on 5 by RCB captain Rajat Patidar. He played cautiously at first, then unleashed, hammering 22 runs off Josh Hazlewood’s over after reaching his fifty. Teaming up with Tristan Stubbs, who made 38 not out, Rahul built a game-changing 111-run partnership. He wrapped it up in style, smashing a six off Yash Dayal to finish at 169/4 in 17.5 overs, earning Player of the Match.

RCB’s bowlers, especially Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/26), gave it their all, but their batting let them down. Patidar admitted they misread the pitch, slumping from 80/1 to 90/4, which cost them. DC’s win pushed them to second place with eight points, while RCB stayed third with six.
