Fans of Chainsaw Man are losing it over the first trailer for Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc, which hit the internet on September 18 via Crunchyroll.

This movie, based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s hit manga, brings the intense "Reze Arc" to life with jaw-dropping animation from MAPPA and a killer soundtrack featuring Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada.

The two-minute trailer is a wild ride, showing Denji (voiced by Kikunosuke Toya) juggling his chaotic life as a devil hunter alongside Power (Ai Fairouz) and Aki (Shogo Sakata).

Then comes Reze, the mysterious Bomb Devil hybrid, voiced by Reina Ueda. Her explosive powers light up the screen as she battles Denji’s chainsaw-wielding chaos, with cityscapes getting torn apart in epic fight scenes.

The trailer hints at Reze’s tragic backstory as a Soviet experiment, plus a bittersweet romance with Denji that’s sure to tug at heartstrings.

It perfectly captures Reze’s intense vibe. Even bigger news? Hikaru Utada, the iconic voice behind early 2000s hits, contributes “First Love,” a soulful insert song that adds emotional weight to Reze’s story. “I’m thrilled to be part of this,” Utada said. “Reze’s struggle to love in a broken world hit me hard.”

The movie, directed by Ryu Nakayama, is set for a fall 2026 release in Japan, with Crunchyroll streaming it worldwide at the same time. The original anime team, including composer Kensuke Ushio and character designer Kazutaka Sugiyama, is back to keep the vibe consistent.
