BTS Jin Scores First Solo Music Show Win with "Dont Say You Love Me"

BTS member Kim Seokjin, known as Jin, has clinched his first solo music show trophy with the title track "Don’t Say You Love Me" from his second solo album, Echo, on Mnet’s M Countdown. The emotional ballad, released on May 16, 2025, outperformed K-pop group RIIZE’s "Fly Up," securing 7,669 points on the May 29 episode, marking a significant milestone in Jin’s solo career.

Echo, released on May 16, 2025, dives into themes of love and heartbreak. The title track, paired with a stunning music video featuring actress Shin Se-Kyung, tells the story of a love slipping away. A 37-second teaser dropped on May 14, showcasing Jin’s soft falsetto and a soulful piano melody that hit fans right in the feels. Big Hit Music called the song a raw take on “the excruciating pain of two lovers unable to let go.”

The album’s been a massive success, landing at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and topping the World Albums chart. “Don’t Say You Love Me” also claimed No. 1 on the UK’s Official Physical Singles Chart and Spotify’s Top Songs Global, plus it cracked the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 90—Jin’s third solo song to make the list.

Since finishing his military service in June 2024, Jin’s been unstoppable. He wrapped up his YouTube series Run Jin with a touching finale that included a sweet message from J-Hope. Now, he’s gearing up for his first solo world tour, Run Seokjin EP Tour, kicking off June 28 in South Korea, with stops in Japan, the US, and Europe.
