BTS Countdown: 100 Days Until RM, V, Jimin & Jungkook Return

BTS fans worldwide known as ARMY begin an emotional 100-day countdown which leads to the return of RM, V, Jimin and Jungkook as they complete their duty in South Korean military service. BTS fans have initiated a substantial X-wide trend that signifies the start of their two-year absence ending until their complete reunion in June 2025.

RM and V became enlisted members on December 11 followed by Jimin and Jungkook one day later at the 5th Infantry Division through the "Companion Soldiers" program. RM and V will be discharged on June 10 and Jimin together with Jungkook will follow on June 11 marking a quick succession of their returns. Suga joins as a social worker on September 22 of this year before moving into June 21 when he will rejoin Jin and J-Hope as they are discharged in 2024. Social media platforms across the globe are filled with passionate BTS-related messages that include purple heart emojis as a tribute to the band’s trademark color.

Jimin and Jungkook obtained sergeant rank promotions according to records shown on Goondori military app and this achievement added more excitement to fans. Fans grew increasingly enthused on March 2 as RM posted an Instagram update announcing “D-100” which fueled their excitement even more. Through these periodic updates ARMYs stay connected to their beloved idols even while their idols maintain silence within the military.

Speculation for a new BTS album or tour pans through the air as June approaches due to the band's reputation for generating seismic comebacks. The countdown has become an emotional bond that unites fans who wish to see "K-pop Kings" rise again to retake their musical positions.
