Brad Pitt Returns as Cliff Booth in 'The Adventures of Cliff Booth'
Brad Pitt steps back into the role of stuntman Cliff Booth for The Adventures of Cliff Booth, a follow-up to Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 blockbuster Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
New set photos, snapped outside the Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles on July 28, show Pitt rocking Booth’s iconic blonde wig, a bright yellow camp shirt, graphic tee, and jeans, bringing back the cool, laid-back vibe that won him an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
This time, the film is directed by David Fincher, who’s worked with Pitt on classics like Se7en and Fight Club.
Tarantino wrote the screenplay but passed the director’s chair to Fincher. Netflix snagged the script for a reported $20 million, and the movie will stream exclusively on their platform.
Pitt recently described the project as “a slice of Cliff Booth’s life” rather than a full-on sequel.

Set in 1977, eight years after the original, the story follows Booth as a Hollywood studio fixer. A poster for Richard Pryor’s Which Way Is Up? spotted on set nails down the late ‘70s vibe, with nods to gritty films like Rolling Thunder, one of Tarantino’s favorites.
The cast is stacked with fresh faces like Corey Fogelmanis and Karren Karagulian, plus stars like Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Fans are still wondering if Leonardo DiCaprio will pop up as Rick Dalton, but nothing’s confirmed yet. Pitt, who’s been busy promoting his new movie F1, shared his excitement at its premiere, hyping Fincher’s involvement and the July filming start.

This project is a rare move for Tarantino, who usually directs his own scripts. Originally tied to his scrapped The Movie Critic idea, the story evolved into this standalone adventure. With Fincher’s sharp direction and Pitt’s effortless charm, The Adventures of Cliff Booth is shaping up to be a must-watch for fans, hitting Netflix soon.
