Anuradha Mathu Agrawal to Lead JioStar's Ad Sales; Dhruv Dhawan Exits
Anuradha Mathu Agrawal has been appointed to lead the mid-market entertainment ad sales division at JioStar.
Dhruv Dhawan, earlier leading digital growth for mid-tier and emerging clients, has exited the company.
Agrawal carries rich experience in media sales and management. Since 2016, she has been with JioStar or formerly Disney Star and is serving as an executive director.
Before joining JioStar, Agrawal served as the National Revenue Head at CNN-News18. Her career also spans roles at Turner, NDTV, Bennett Coleman & Co., and the India Today Group. Additionally, she co-founded Leomax International and served as its director.
Dhawan joined Disney+ Hotstar as Head of Ad Sales in 2023, succeeding Shalini Poddar, who went on to become Country Director at Apple Services. At Disney Star, he was tasked with driving advertising revenues for Disney+ Hotstar.
Prior to joining JioStar, Dhawan served as the Industry Lead at Google, focusing on CPG and D2C brands. In this role, he managed Google's FMCG business in India, working closely with FMCG companies on strategies related to business, marketing, and product development to strengthen their digital presence.
During his nine-year tenure at Google, Dhawan held several leadership positions. Prior to that, he worked at Bharti Airtel, where he was responsible for managing the P&L of the M2M business in India.
