Aditya Arora, CEO of FAAD Capital, and Surya Pasricha, Founder of BaatCheet Media, have co-authored and announced the launch of their debut book titled ‘Startups of Bharat’, a practical, story-led book that explores the journeys of 15 Indian million-dollar founders under the age of 30. The book promises to fill a crucial knowledge gap for young, first-time founders seeking a clear, relatable roadmap to launching and scaling their ventures.

‘Startups of Bharat’ dives deep into the journeys of entrepreneurs from companies like PhysicsWallah, BharatPe, Boult, Chai Sutta Bar, Animall, and more. Unlike traditional business books that are often overly technical or skewed towards seasoned professionals, this book adopts a friendly, story-driven approach that feels like learning from a college senior. It’s a startup simulator in print, featuring practical insights, step-by-step frameworks, and end-of-chapter exercises designed to turn passive reading into real-world action.

“The inspiration behind the book stems from our own journeys as college entrepreneurs. Back then, we lacked access to relatable guides or books that addressed the challenges we faced on the ground, from finding the right problem to solve, to acquiring our first customers, and making those early financial decisions. After evaluating more than 10,000 startups over the years, we realized that most young founders fail not due to lack of talent, but because they don't know what to do next. This book is our answer to that problem, an attempt to demystify the startup process for Bharat's aspiring founders, especially those outside the traditional metro startup ecosystems,” said Aditya Arora, CEO of Faad Capital.

Surya Pasricha, Founder of BaatCheet Media, added, “The book is rooted in lived experience, both our own and those of the incredible young entrepreneurs we spoke with. Growing up in army cantonments, I learned the value of adaptability and resilience. These lessons carried forward into my own startup journey, which was as chaotic as it was enlightening. After telling stories of numerous global brands and working with them on large campaigns, we wanted to create a resource that’s practical and empowering, not preachy or overwhelming. Whether you're a student starting up, a professional considering a switch, or someone just curious about the hustle behind the headlines, this book is for you. It's the guide we wish we had.”

What sets Startups of Bharat apart is its introduction of the RISING framework: Roadblock, Ideation, Strategy, Implementation, Nakad (Money), and Growth, a structured yet flexible model that young entrepreneurs can apply to navigate their startup journeys. Each chapter also includes simulation exercises to help readers engage with the content in a meaningful, hands-on way.
