2025 Khelo India Winter Games to Start in Gulmarg on March 9

The Khelo India Winter Games 2025 will begin on March 9 in Gulmarg, a world-renowned health resort, with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah launching the event's official website on Monday.

A world-class winter sports experience in one of India's top snow destinations is guaranteed when Jammu and Kashmir hosts the second leg of the Khelo India Winter Games2025 in Gulmarg from March 9 to 12 thanks to fresh snowfall.

According to a spokesperson, "the event, initially scheduled for February22-25, was postponed due to insufficient snowfall."

At the Civil Secretariat here, the chief minister unveiled kwig2025.com, the official website for the 2025 Khelo India Winter Games.

Speaking on the occasion, Abdullah wished the event's organizers luck and inquired about the final dates and arrangements.

The event will now take place in Gulmarg from March 9 to 12, according to a presentation by Nuzhat Gul, the secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council.

She went over the schedule, which included cultural events, competitive events, fireworks, a laser show, an award ceremony, the arrival of teams on March 7, and a night skiing demonstration.

She also outlined the main characteristics of the recently launched website, which will provide comprehensive event details and real-time updates.

Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Ministers Javed Ahmad Rana and Satish Sharma, and Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary attended the launch event.

Alpine skiing, ski mountaineering, snowboarding, and Nordic skiing are the four main competitions at the Khelo India Winter Games 2025. These events will take place at Kongdoori and the Gulmarg Club in Gulmarg.
