2024 National Film Awards: Kantara, KGF 2, Gulmohar Win; Complete Award List

On Friday, August 16, the National Award wins 2024 were revealed. The two largest wins were Kantara and KGF 2. Best Picture went to Kantara, while Best Actor went to Rishab Shetty. KGF Chapter 2, starring Yash, was awarded Best Kannada film. The Best Hindi Film National Award goes to Gulmohar. In the meantime, the Best Actress prize was split by Nitya Menon and Maansi Paarekh. The Best Director award for Uunchai went to Sooraj R. Barjatya.

Regarding the soundtrack, AR Rahman got Best Background Music for his work on Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 2, while Pritam won Best Music Director for Brahmastra film. Anand Krishnamurthy of PS 2 was also awarded Best Sound Design. For Brahmastra, Arijit Singh was awarded Best Playback Singer Male.
