Marvel Comics fans experience high enthusiasm for the debut of Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell, which launches its three-issue limited series on April 2nd, 2025. Through the creative collaboration of Charles Soule and Steve McNiven, Marvel Comics delivers its prestige series, which tells the disturbing transformative journey of Matt Murdock, who battles as Daredevil in a distant future devoid of superheroes.

The new comic series Cold Day in Hell debuted during New York Comic Con in October 2024 while drawing storytelling elements from Old Man Logan and its gritty atmospheric style created by the McNiven collaboration. Murdock appears in the story as a weathered, retiring superhero who has lost his power and tries to survive the deteriorating Marvel Universe. A dangerous gas sweeping through Hell's Kitchen compels Matt back into heroics as he races against time for three days to understand a horrifying secret behind a seemingly random explosion. Soule and McNiven bring their Death of Wolverine collaboration to Daredevil's legacy by merging high-stakes storytelling with emotional depth.

The series sold out its initial print run before release, thus creating widespread buzz, which resulted in Marvel announcing second printings as well as a rare 1:50 variant cover by Frank Miller, who is famous for his work on Daredevil. The participation of Miller with McNiven and Soule enhances the project's status by maintaining a connection to the character's well-known 1980s background, especially the Born Again storyline. The collectible value of this comic series is boosted through variant covers produced by John Romita Jr. and additional artists.

Fans on X demonstrated their deep enthusiasm through positive comments about the preview artwork while speculating about major changes to Daredevil's mythology. One user commented that this version of Matt Murdock showed him like no one had ever seen before as a broken yet fearless hero. The T+-rated issue has a price of $6.99 for 40 pages, and it arrives tomorrow, but the final order cutoff for the second printing remains at April 7.
