Resident Evil: Requiem Ushering a New Era

Resident Evil: Requiem is a significant continuation of a very old horror series by Capcom. The game not only revives the origins of the series in the field of survival horror but also offers new methods to attract players. It is more about tension, strategy, and atmosphere instead of action or jump scares.

The plot revolves around Grace Ashcroft, who is an aggressive FBI officer and Leon S. Kennedy, who is a series regular. Their views provide alternative solutions to future problems. Grace is more of an exploration, resource management, whereas the gameplay of Leon is more combat and head-on collision-focused. This two-sidedness leaves the players with the option of how they wish to perceive the world and the threats.

This space is constructed to feel lived-in and threatening. It could be the abandoned buildings or dark alleys, but it seems to encourage the players to be vigilant in any place. The smarts of the game are reactive to the moves made by the players, and one is not able to plan what to expect in the encounter; hence, it requires more than reflexes to survive.
